Our team at Heathcote Dental Surgery meticulously customises these dentures to ensure a flawless fit, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with ease yet again. They are generally provided through our collaboration with specialised PROSTHETISTS who we would refer you to.
We would undertake the necessary dentistry, such as extractions. This would be done in coordination with the Prosthetist.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are an ideal solution for patients who have only a few missing teeth. These dentures consist of replacement teeth attached to a gum-coloured base, often secured in place using clasps that grip onto adjacent natural teeth. Partial dentures not only fill in the gaps created by missing teeth but also prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting, maintaining the overall alignment of your smile. If the Partial Denture is being made with an opposing Full Denture we would refer you to the PROSTHETIST making the Full Denture for a better result.

- If any additional procedures or extractions are necessary before getting dentures, our team will inform you and discuss the options with you, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the treatment plan.
- After performing the necessary additional procedures or extractions, we will take precise impressions of your mouth to ensure a perfect fit. These impressions serve as the foundation for crafting dentures that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth and facial features.
- Once your dentures are ready, we will schedule a trial fitting to ensure they fit comfortably and securely. If any adjustments are needed, our team will make the necessary modifications to guarantee a flawless fit.
- We will provide you with comprehensive instructions on caring for your dentures, including cleaning routines and maintenance tips.
- It is normal to experience some initial adjustment with your new dentures. You may need time to get accustomed to speaking and eating with them. Rest assured, our team will be available to address any questions or concerns during this transition period.
